Pentecost 2019

Pentecost 2019 saw us celebrating our fifth birthday. It sounds trite and corny but these past five years have flown by in the blink of an eye. I’ll bet it will still seem that way on our fiftieth birthday, too!

In honor of our birthday, we decided to update some things. Our logo has a modern look now. Our webpage has been expanded to include a map of where Holy Family is located, an archived list of homilies, a page explaining our music ministry and this new Pastor’s Corner column. I will be writing some “Deep Thoughts” (hat-tip to Jack Handey) each week, or nearly each week to describe events of Holy Family, to comment on a topic or two or to write about the exploits of Steve’s and my “above average grandchildren.” Just kidding about the last one. (Maybe.)

Something new that I will be doing is posting the homilies I give each week at Holy Family. Well, actually these will be better because before I post them I will have added the new thoughts that invariably come as I preach the homily at Mass. You have to know, too, that I write homilies the way I talk so they will sound a little more informal than if you were reading a regular column.

That’s enough for this week! Click around our website to see what is new and/or what is familiar.  Better yet, visit Holy Family in person. You may come as a stranger but you will leave as a friend. It is no exaggeration to say that we love to step back and make our circle wider!

Blessings and laughter!
